Job Description
UpperEdge is currently looking for a professional, high-energy individual to join its growing team of experts as a Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will play a central role in supporting and enhancing UpperEdge’s delivery capabilities by ensuring the consistency and availability of high-quality information to UpperEdge’s delivery teams. The Data Analyst is responsible for assisting in the integrity of UpperEdge’s information assets across the entire lifecycle, including data collection, organization, cleansing, analysis, and reporting. This individual must have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, exercise superior judgment, and maintain the drive to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execution of SOPs for collection, management, and analysis of UpperEdge’s information assets.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with applicable SOPs and working practices.
- Ensure operational excellence in collaboration with delivery teams for application of standards, data acquisition, proactive data review and query management, data cleaning, data access and metrics reporting.
- In collaboration with the delivery teams, ensure operational excellence across all UpperEdge
- Assist in developing ad-hoc graphs, tables, charts, and reports as necessary.
- Contribute to UpperEdge’s blog, podcasts, and webinars.
General Qualifications
- Recent graduate with strong technical skills and / or a Business Analytics degree OR Minimum 1 year of relevant data / information management experience in one or more of the following:
- Data Migration / Data Governance / Data Quality
- Data Warehouse management
- Knowledge Management / Document Management
- Basic knowledge of SQL, relational datasets, and relevant toolsets (e.g. Access)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to include data comparison and modeling
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
- Interest or experience in the Data Science space, along with familiarity with relevant toolsets is a plus: Python, “R”, PowerBI and/or Tableau.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – a positive attitude and high-level energy required
- Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a timely fashion
- Ability to work well both individually and in a team environment
- Bachelors’ degree in a related field preferred
