AJ Cifuentes is an IT Sourcing & Negotiation Advisor at UpperEdge. He provides clients with strategic advisory services with a focus on Workday and Oracle, supporting the delivery team through the benchmarking of primary competitive intelligence in Enterprise Application, SaaS, Systems Integration, and Application Support. AJ also assists in the creation and presentations of client deliverables, including proposal comparisons, commercial term sheets and assessments.
Prior to joining the UpperEdge team, AJ worked at IBM as a Software Sourcing Specialist within their Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures team. At IBM, drafted, reviewed, and negotiated various software license agreements, professional services agreements, contract addenda related to Acquisitions and Divestitures. In addition, he managed a slew of contracts for various SaaS and on/off-prem software IBM purchased (MSA, Order Forms, Statements of Work, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Reseller Agreements, etc.), and was a Procurement lead for Cloud reseller deals on behalf of IBM.
AJ holds a J.D. from South Texas College of Law – Houston where he was a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Society. AJ earned his undergrad from Texas State University San Marcos. He is also a licensed mediator in the State of Texas.
