Avik Mittra

As UpperEdge’s Practice Leader for Managed Services Advisory, Avik is responsible for the development and delivery of IT Sourcing Strategy, Solution, Commercials, Negotiations, and Service Provider Management services to clients.

Avik brings over 17 years of experience spanning Big-4 Management Consulting and service provider environments, with a track record of delivering high-impact, customer-centric strategies for Fortune 100 clients across several industries.

Prior to joining UpperEdge, Avik spent 14 years at KPMG within the firm’s Management Consulting, GBS & Outsourcing Advisory practice. His work spanned target operating model transformations, sourcing strategy design (including GCCs), and large-scale service provider negotiations across a range of Fortune 100 clients. He has led complex, end-to-end sourcing transformations, from strategy through provider selection and transition, and also advised clients through major organizational changes, including mergers and divestitures. Throughout his tenure, Avik combined data-driven analysis with strong stakeholder management to help clients strengthen governance, rationalize supplier relationships, drive cost optimization and improve overall service delivery.

Prior to KPMG, Avik spent 3 years at Infosys Limited, a global IT outsourcing service provider, delivering application support services to global clients and gained direct exposure to outsourcing service delivery models and operations.

Avik has earned his Bachelors in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Bangalore Institute of Technology and his Masters in Management Information Systems from Georgia State University.
