Job Description
UpperEdge is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Account Executive who can assist us in expanding our presence in the North American market. Target accounts include fortune 500 companies. The successful candidate must have prior experience selling to C-level professionals and excel at prospecting and closing new business, adapt and respond to changing market conditions, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset.
The Account Executive will join a rapidly growing organization and has the opportunity to demonstrate UpperEdge’s capabilities and business fit to top executives such as CIOs, CFOs and CPOs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement named account territory plan geared at maximizing expansion and acquisition opportunities across a wide portfolio of products and ensuring high bar of customer success
- Promote the UpperEdge Value Proposition, ROI and customer stories to create intrigue in our prospects and develop solid business conversations
- Sell primarily to senior executives (VP and above) at prospective companies
- Prospect, develop and close new customers from a target list of companies and inbound leads
- Maintain a detailed sales pipeline and generate accurate and timely sales forecasts
- Building industry relationships and referral networks
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Delivery teams to customize sales materials and presentations of UpperEdge’s offerings and to develop lead generation programs
- Providing prospective clients with compelling, ROI-based solutions in the form of service proposals
- Achieve sales quota on a quarterly and annual basis
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience managing complex, multi-threaded sales cycles
- History of selling high end, project-based, technology or professional consulting services to large corporate customers
- An ability to gain access and influence decision-makers at the highest levels in client organizations
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle and Microsoft solutions and go-to-market approach is a strong plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication including presentation and meeting facilitation skills
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Enthusiastic self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
- Skilled at negotiating business terms with senior management and/or C-level executives
- Organized and disciplined approach to daily activity planning, setting goals and achieving success
- Proficient with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office (including Excel) and LinkedIn
- Thorough and exacting in attention to detail, constantly striving to understand the nuances in data sources and unique executions so that you can present your findings with established degrees of confidence
- A B.S. / B.A. or equivalent experience
